The Sportsnet role
The portal introduces volunteers to independent event organisers and records participation. It does not guarantee selection, employment, compensation, event safety or a particular outcome. Organisers remain responsible for their event and the arrangements they promise.
Joining and applying
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Do not impersonate an organisation or claim experience or course completion you do not have. Recording interest shares your profile and contact details with that organiser. A place is confirmed only after selection and your acceptance.
Event responsibilities
Organisers must describe duties, locations, dates, shifts, experience, language needs and benefits accurately. Any honorarium or reimbursement must state its amount or conditions, who pays and when. Volunteers should confirm arrangements directly before travelling. Report cancellations or concerns promptly. Do not charge volunteers for a guaranteed selection.
Respect and feedback
Harassment, discrimination, fraud and misuse of personal details are not allowed. Reviews must describe actual participation, avoid unnecessary personal information and be fair and relevant. Sportsnet may hold, hide or remove listings and reviews, restrict accounts, and examine disputes.
Training and future services
The foundation course and volunteering account are intended to remain free. A verified course badge does not guarantee a role. Optional future services for organisers or sponsors will have separately agreed scope and pricing; joining this pilot does not authorise a charge.

Contact inquiry@sportsnetedu.com for portal support or to report a concern. For an immediate safety issue at an event, contact the organiser or the appropriate emergency service directly.
